Victor Albin Bartok was born on February 5, 1926 to Steve and Mary Bartok in the Kaposvar District. Victor was 12 years old when his dad passed away leaving his mother, his older brother Steve and himself on the family farm.
On November 6, 1945 Victor married Anne Benna, daughter of Andrew and Mary Benna of the Kolin District. They farmed In the Qu’Appelle Valley and lived on the farm until 1959 when they moved into Esterhazy.
Victor continued to farm until 1976. While farming he worked for Dan Vanderhaeghe and then Ficek Transport and started working for the town of Esterhazy in 1975 where he remained until his retirement in 1990.
Retirement kept him and Anne busy with gardening, yard work and playing cards with friends. They loved to travel and spent many winters in Mesa enjoying the warmer climate.
Victor was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife of 67 years, Anne; and his brothers Steve and Frank.
Victor leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Joanne (Florian); three grandchildren Blaine (Christine), Amanda and Neil (Jody); and five great grandchildren Andrew, Daniel, Anna, Weston, and Clarke.
Victor will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
