Ryan Lamb Obituary

Ryan William Lamb, of Esterhazy, SK, passed away March 16, 2025 at Esterhazy Hospital at the age of 42 years. He was born on March 30, 1982, to Bob and Karen Lamb in Regina, SK. He was the 2nd child of 4, sibling to Sabrina (Rod) Sulley, Chris (Kim) Lamb and Nicole (Steve) McDowell. Ryan is predeceased by his mother-in-law, Delora Lintick; grandparents, Bill and Evelyn Lamb, Agnes and Edward North, Al and Joan Kayter; and grandparents-in-law, Joseph and Edith Shivak and Al Huber. Left to cherish his memory are his wife; children; immediate family; father-in-law, Paul Huber; sister-in-law, Lindsay (David) Korolek; sister-in-law, Victoria (Dave) Maga; bother-in-law Dustin (Baljinder) Huber; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

From a young age Ryan had a passion for sports, spending countless hours on baseball diamonds and football fields. As his children grew, this carried into a love for coaching. Following their interests, he invested himself into becoming an incredible ball and hockey coach. Ryan not only had a desire to help his own children excel, but he was also committed to developing all those he coached. Ryan further volunteered on the Esterhazy Minor Ball Board and the Knights of Columbus. Ryan had an overall love for the outdoors. During the winter months he enjoyed downhill skiing, and he spent his summers camping, boating and enjoying time with his family and friends around the campfire. Academics were also important to Ryan. He took great pride in his efforts to earn his Engineering degree from the U of R in 2006. His work ethic was something that continued throughout his career at Mosaic, setting the example of hard work and dedication for his children. Ryan had a great love for music and movies. His fun-loving, confident spirit shone through, as he belted out his newest favourite tune or let it loose on the dance floor at the latest family wedding. Ryan was a man of God, whose faith was of utmost importance to him, and he carried it with him in all aspects of his life.

Ryan met the love of his life, Chelsea, in July of 2003 while at the U of R. The connection was immediate and obvious. They shared an athletic, competitive spirit, and their friendship and love grew quickly. They were married in September of 2006. Together they began to build their lives and set down roots in Esterhazy, and with the birth of their 3 beautiful children, Payton, Ty and Dexton, their little family was complete. Friends and family were of utmost importance to Ryan, and he enjoyed planning trips, and creating special memories and traditions. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

In the fall of 2024, Ryan was diagnosed with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma. He leaned on both his faith and music for strength throughout his life and during his battle over the last few months. He was strong, determined, and continued to make friends and family laugh, with his sarcastic humour, even in his final days. Ryan was a selfless man continuing to offer advice and help others, where able, despite his latest struggles. He cared deeply for those he loved and enjoyed sharing his passions with others. This love was later reciprocated by friends, family, teams and communities as they rallied behind him with "Team Lamb" to show their support after hearing of Ryan’s difficult diagnoses. Ryan, Chelsea and the kids were touched beyond measure and will forever be grateful for all the love, prayers and support they have received.
