Ronald (Ron) Marchand

Ron Marchand was born on April 27, 1942 to John and Suzanne Marchand in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. He grew up and went to school in Chamford and Sudbury, Ontario. He came to Esterhazy in 1963 to work at the mine. He met Ila Johnson and they were married on June 19, 1965. Their union was blessed with one son, Glenn.

In all his endeavors, Ron was a well-liked and caring man. He gained love and respect from those that knew him. Ron was a Christian man who was devoted to his family. He was very proud of his grandchildren and loved them very much. In August 2017, he welcomed another grandson into the family when Nicole married Ben. Ron enjoyed and became very talented at carving sculptures and playing guitar.

Ron was preceded by his parents John and Suzanne Marchand, and his sister Jocelyn. He leaves to celebrate his life his loving wife Ila, son Glenn and daughter-in-law Audrey,   grandchildren Nicole (Ben) Auzenne, Jonathon Marchand and Renee Marchand; brothers and sisters-in-law Loren and Yvonne Johnson, Lyle and Marilyn Mckerracher, mother-in-law Enid Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
