Robin Salkeld Obituary

Robin Scott Salkeld was the third child born to Don and Angie (Roussin) Salkeld on August 27, 1981.
Robin grew up in Gerald, Saskatchewan and attended schools in Gerald and Esterhazy. He obtained his Grade 12 diploma in 1999. After high school Robin attained his Class A1 Driver’s License in Yorkton. This started his employment in various fields such as custom combining within Canada and the USA, trucking and working at the mine in Estevan.
Robin grew up on the farm and loved being beside his dad helping and learning. Although this was never a job to Robin but time to have special moments of growth and bonding with his father. Robin thrived on hard work and dedication. He was never afraid to try new things, learn from his mistakes and advance to make things better. With these qualities Robin started his own business, Salkeld Spraying, in Estevan which he currently owned and operated. As Robin’s nature was to keep busy, he operated a steam truck during the winter months. Robin gained a lot of respect and admiration because of his hard work ethic and integrity.
He self-taught a lot of his talents and was always ambitious to add to his abilities and traits. Robin was full of adventure. He loved to explore and tour. This was very evident in his time spent with his three children: Kase, Emma and Noah. He was a continually active and dedicated father. His time with his children was always important and valued. He loved taking them places for new adventures and giving them any opportunity possible to experience many new things. Family was especially important to Robin from a young age and his bond with his cousins will forever be felt. He always felt it important for his children to have the same experience with his family, therefore creating wonderful memories and strong hearts. Robin’s children were his everything. The brightest days and the biggest smiles were when he had the three of them with him. He was an amazing father who supported, challenged, and celebrated his children every day. Kase, Emma, and Noah also showed and taught so much to Robin and he loved it all. Robin shared his love for the outdoors with his children and many friends. He always appreciated the space and beauty gained from a simple sunset and a running stream.
Robin was predeceased by his father Donnie Salkeld (April 15, 2016); sister Deanna Salkeld (November 1984-April 1985); grandparents, uncles, and cousins.
