Nina Moller passed away peacefully the morning of December 15, 2023 at the age of 97. She was born May 14,1926 to Daisy and James Campbell and was raised on the family farm just outside of Dubuc. In May of 1948, she married her beloved, Earle Moller. They lived on the farm and raised two daughters, Sherry and Heather.
In 1976, they sold the farm and moved into Dubuc where they had a beautiful huge yard which they filled with trees, shrubs, flowers and a large vegetable patch. Nina was an avid and accomplished gardener and she loved nothing more than to be outside in her garden. They moved to Yorkton in 2007 to Crossings and later Yorkton Nursing home.
Family and friends loved to come to Nina and Earle’s in Dubuc to enjoy the park-like garden setting and relish the amazing cooking and baking. The kitchen was always filled with the aroma of Nina’s baking and cooking. Many dishes were made out of her head. No one ever left Nina’s house without being fed. Nina was the consummate hostess.
Besides her culinary skills, she worked hard on the farm, could sew without any pattern, knit, play anything on the piano and win every card and board game. You could never expect to win a game of scrabble or cribbage against her. She could read Latin and French. She loved literature and language and read hundreds of books. She worked at the mobile book library for several years and truly enjoyed that. There was no one wittier than her. She had a wonderful and kind sense of humour and a generous heart.
Left to mourn is her husband and partner in life, Earle Moller, daughters Sherry (Al) and Heather (Jeff), grandchildren Natalie (Ron), Scott (Katie), Chad (Erin), Hali (Jordan) and Cian, great grandchildren William, Molly, Ali and Marlowe and numerous family, neighbours and friends.
Nina was much loved and respected and will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
