Mildred Sylvia Boukal was born May 25, 1931 and passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on November 22, 2025 in Esterhazy, SK.
Mildred was born to Joseph and Eleanor (Lachowski). She took her elementary schooling in Yarbo and Kinbrae and completed her Grade 9 by correspondence in Zaneta. Her first job was working for Weselak’s Dry Cleaners in Esterhazy. She married Leonard Boukal on April 25, 1959 in Esterhazy. She was a tireless worker on the family farm, always having an abundant garden to share with family and friends. She always had many beautiful flowers around her home and yard. Her biggest enjoyment company in for meals or coffee. She always had the table filled with baking, doughnuts, puff wheat cake, gingersnaps, or her candied sugared strawberries were the favourites. She babysat many children over the years, all who call her “Auntie”. She loved to read, sew, garden, listen to CJGX radio, and in the last year do word-search puzzles.
She leaves to mourn her nieces and nephews Sandra Zurburg, Bernice Lingelbach, Dennis Lippai, Blanche Kingdon, Delila Clarke, Cheryl Weselak and Donald Weselak. Mildred was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Eleanor Weselak, husband Leonard Boukal, brother Joseph Weselak and sister-in-law Mary, sister Anna Lippai and brother-in-law Albert, and nephew Ronald Weselak.
We will sadly miss her. Rest in Peace.
