Mike Bewcyk

It is with great sadness that the family of Mike Bewcyk announce his passing on August 11, 2023, in Regina, at the age of 83.

Mike was born on November 20, 1939 in Geraldton, Ontario, the only child of Nick Bewcyk and Margaret Boychuk.

He met Silvana Rismondo in Geraldton, Ontario, and they got married on September 21, 1963. They had four children, Sherrie, Kevin, Laurie, and Allison.

Mike enjoyed many sports which included hockey, curling, golfing, bowling, and pool. After his retirement, he enjoyed playing cribbage and Bridge at the Golden Jets.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Nick Bewcyk and Margaret Boychuk, his in-laws Andrew and Yolanda Rismondo, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Livio and Jeannette Rismondo.

Mike leaves behind his wife Silvana and their four children; Sherrie (Greg) Zimmer, Kevin (Phyllis) Bewcyk, Laurie (Curtis) Fraser, and Allison (Steve) Zimmer, 11 grandchildren; Alexandra (Brendon), Melanie, Matthew (Jenna), Justin (Cassandra), Sarah (Greg), Nathan, Zachary, Ashlyn, Dawson, Jordyn, and Kiera, 5 great-granddaughters; Ayla, Josephine, Everleigh, Saige, and Hazel. Mike is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law George and Kathleen Rismondo and their 3 children and families.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital, the Esterhazy Ambulance Service, Yorkton Emergency and ICU, and the Regina ICU for all the care they provided him.
