Mark Robert McManus

Mark came to join our family on February 1, 1977. 

After graduating from high school, he went to SIAST to achieve his certificate in Industrial Mechanics.

His daughter, Kassa was born May 5, 1997.

Mark was a miner operator at Mosaic for 17 years; during his time, he was active on the executive for the union.  He also served as council member for the town of Churchbridge. He was married to Catey in 2008.

Mark was a good friend to many.  He cared about his family and enjoyed coming to Round Lake to go fishing and enjoy the outdoors.  He had a love for all animals.  He adopted his best friend Petey from the SPCA.  They were inseparable, and Petey was his support through many tough times.

He is survived by his parents, Bob and Bev McManus; daughter Kassa and grandchildren Sherilee and Treyton; sister Kelly and nephew Ben; grandmothers Lena Tocker and Margaret McManus, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his partner Amanda Barr.
