Marilyn Kerr Obituary

Marilyn Faye Kerr was born January 11th, 1948, in Regina, SK., and passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on January 30th, 2025, in Esterhazy, SK.

Raised on the family farm at Browning, SK., Marilyn graduated high school in Lampman, SK on June 30,1965.  On November 27th of that same year, she married the love of her life, Neil Kerr.   In 1966, they moved to Esterhazy, SK, where they would build a life filled with love, devotion and family.  Together they shared a passion for camping, golfing, pot-lucking with friends, country music, and the odd stop at the casino.  Above all other things, dancing together was their greatest shared joy, and it was evident every time they graced a dance floor.  Effortless, smooth and completely in sync with one another, it was a majestic display for all to witness.

Along with her marriage, nothing was more important to Marilyn than family.  Consisting of three children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren - with more on the way - she selflessly devoted herself to raising, supporting, and spoiling every one of them.  There was nothing she would not do, explore or try if it meant the betterment of family.  She also took great joy in sharing her personal passions with them such as watching the Scotties Tournament of Hearts or a night out at BINGO!  Regardless of interaction, experience or event, a scrumptious constant that always took things to another level was Marilyn’s cooking.  Whether it was her chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, butter horns, cabbage rolls, or apple pie, everything just became better.

At the core of an amazing wife, mother, nana, and great-nana was a truly beautiful person. Marilyn was always kind, sincere, and considerate of everyone she encountered. Her eyes and smile lit up a room, and her laugh was contagious - especially when directed at herself - an endearing quality that made her even more beloved.

Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Hazel; her brother, Ken; her daughter-in-law, Kendra; and her grandson, Brady.

She is survived by her husband, Neil; her children, Kerry (Daryl), Cindy (Tom), and Randy (Michelle); her grandchildren, Ashton (Alex), Kale (Janelle), Wyatt (Hannah), Mackenzie (Josh), Kendra (Grant), and Tegan; and her great-grandchildren, Nash, Harper, Finn, Maverick, Zander, and Jozie.
