Margaret Emma Banga

November 18, 1926 ~ February 20, 2022 (age 95)

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother

Margaret (Reves) Banga was born to Rose and Steve Reves, in the Cana district, where she attended school and helped on the family farm.

Margaret married her one special love Louis Banga on June 14th,1949. They settled and farmed together for 23 years, just 5 miles Southwest of Stockholm.

She was blessed with four children, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. They are, son; Ron (Paulette) and their children Justin (Rebecca), Shawla (Chris) and 2 great granddaughters, Kaydence and Cayleigh, daughter; Leona Bennett (Willy) and her children Tina (Matt), Myles and 2 great grandsons Taylen and Zandor, daughter; Dianne (George) and their children Tammy (Mike), Neil (Tamara), Amanda (Brook) and 8 great grandchildren Brayden, Samantha, Conner, Boston, Mason, Bryton, Tristan and Morgan and son; Randy (Theresa) and their children Blair (Michelle), Sarah (Jordon), Blake (Monica) and 10 greatgrandchildren Carson, Randell, Remington, Camryn, Ry-Lynn, Piper, Londyn, Jonny, Hunter and Hudson.

In 1972 they took up residence in the village of Stockholm. Then for many years Margaret provided office cleaning for the Stockholm Credit Union and the RM Fertile Belt #183.

She of course loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her favorite times were when the family stopped by after church on Sundays for her famous chicken soup or roast chicken dinner.

Margaret had a special love for her flowers, especially her begonias. She always grew an amazing garden and while still at the farm she raised a large flock of geese…her love but Louis nightmare. She always enjoyed the chicken cleaning gatherings with family and friends and cooking for a crew.

Some other interest that kept her busy in her spare time were socializing with friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Stockholm CWL and the Silver Social Club, where she enjoyed BINGO, shuffleboard and playing cards.

When Margaret’s mobility started to fail her, she chose to move into the Centennial Special Care Home in Esterhazy. Where she found some new interests like painting pictures and other wonderful activities that were offered at the home.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Raymond Shivak), Joyce Banga and Dorothy Banga, and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis, her parents, her sister Rose (Steve Rusnak) brothers Steve (Marg), John (Rose), Albert (Tillie) and Joe. Brother and sister in-laws, Frank (Jean), John (Rose), Mary (John), Rose (Andrew), Joe, Steve, Steven and Theresa.

We her family and friends, give thanks for the gift of her life as we celebrate her memory.

Hear our prayers for your entry into a new and glorious life.

God Called You Home

God looked around his garden and found an empty space

He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “peace be thine”.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you never went alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
