Lynn Glazer Obituary

Lynn Bryan Glazer passed away on Wednesday September 16th, 2020, at the age of 80. He passed away doing what he loved, working with nature on his and his beloved wife Eunice’s family farm.

Lynn was born to Lionel and Hetta Glazer on July 10th, 1940, on the family farm yard. He was both the oldest sibling of the family and cousin on both sides of the family. Lynn left home at an early age. In the late 50’s, he worked many jobs across Canada. He became a high rigger working on high-rises in Toronto, built bridges in Northern Ontario, and assembled elevators in Calgary. Before long, he returned home to be with the love of his life, Eunice. Lynn married Eunice Lippai on April 15th, 1961. Their first house became their forever home where they re-developed the Glazer Family Homestead, which was established in 1905 by his grandparents Louis & Anna Glazer.

In September of 1961, Lynn was employed by IMC. He was quickly promoted as a foreman and developed life-long friendships with those he worked with. While working at the mine, he also returned to the mixed farming operation with his father Lionel and brother Mark. When Lionel retired from farming, Lynn took on the leadership role farming with Mark and later his son, Bryan. Farming was Lynn’s passion.

Lynn and Eunice were blessed with three children, Shelley, Bryan & Kelly. Lynn and Eunice were great parents that taught their children many life skills including, but not limited to, an appreciation of nature, strong work ethic and Christian values. Lynn became ‘Consultant’ to all of his children’s and grandchildren’s projects, large or small, and always did so with his humble, quirky smile. This legacy continued with all of his family, including his great-grandchildren, to the day he died.

Lynn and Eunice had a loving relationship that they enjoyed together for almost 60 years. They were a great team and had accomplished many accolades through the years. Their yard continues to be a nature park for birds and wildlife; truly a hidden treasure. Their beautiful farmyard was sought after as a photography hotspot from the local community near and far. Lynn and Eunice were great hosts to multiple anniversary celebrations and family reunions throughout the years. They loved to travel together and enjoyed multiple tropical vacations with family and friends.

Lynn will be fondly remembered and treasured for his kindness and unconditional love by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his wife Eunice; daughter & family - Shelley (Barry) Clements, Blaise Clements (Kirsten Palmier), Haleigh Clements (Nathan Orban); son & family - Bryan (Annette) Glazer, Brett (Kimberly) Glazer - great grandchildren Marek & Alyza; Chelsey (Keenan) Wiebe - great grandchildren Bode & Asher; and son - Kelly Glazer (Crystal Hartnett). Upon marrying his ‘beautiful Eunice’, her three siblings became his family. Lynn leaves to mourn sister-in-law Darlene Roussin; brother-in-law Dale (Ardelle) Lippai along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Our dearest Lynn was the eldest of five children. Lynn was seen as the pillar of the Glazer Family after the death of their father Lionel, who passed away in 1989. He leaves to mourn siblings Mark Glazer, Carrol (Richard) Morris, Doug (Carol) Glazer & Christine Glazer, all of whose spouses and numerous nieces & nephews adored him. Lynn was predeceased by parents Lionel & Hetta Glazer; brother-in-law Del Doyscher (Christine’s beloved husband); mother and father-in-law, Frank and Lydia Lippai; sister-in-law Patricia Bodnar; brother-in-law Robert Bodnar and brother- in-law Leo Roussin (Darlene’s Beloved Husband).

The Family of Lynn Glazer wish to extend our heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to our Celebrant, Father Andrew Pawlowicz, for his guidance through this difficult time along with the beautiful ‘Prayer Vigil’ that he dedicated to our dear Father.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
