Lorne Fraser Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lorne Allan Fraser at the age of 70, in Esterhazy, Sask.  Lorne was born Nov 3, 1955 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Herb and Doris Fraser.  He had six siblings.  Lorne married Marilyn in 1975 and they had four children Kevin, Jacquie, Kim and Tammy. They later divorced in 1993.

Left to cherish his memories are his four children Kevin and grandkids Nicholas, Jaxon and Jules.  Jacquie (Alan), Kim (Aaron) and boys Luke and Logan.  Tammy, her son Kayden and Lorne’s youngest sister Colleen.

Lorne worked at Mosaic potash mine as a surface mechanic for 42.5 years.  He retired from Mosaic to farm.  He was so proud to own his farm where he broke many horses and foals. His favorite horse of all times was his fast walking horse Pal, a beautiful palomino.  People always could find Lorne on a trail ride with his horse Pal, socializing to his fullest.  His passion for horseback riding, trail rides, farming, cattle, hunting, fishing, hockey and baseball carried onto his kids and grandkids.  Lorne coached many hockey and baseball teams throughout the years.

He was a guy if you phoned and asked to borrow a tool or asked for help he always said yes.

He made sure he did some bucket list fun trips to Dominican and Mexico with family.  He even got to an Oilers game in Edmonton.

Three years ago Lorne had a stroke and up until his passing he resided in the Esterhazy Centennial Care Home.  Thank you to all the nurses, care aides and Terri-Lynn that helped care for Lorne.  Thank you to Colleen for her daily visits, he sure enjoyed your time together.

Lorne is also survived by his brother-in-law Gene, Sisters-in-law Annabelle, Geraldine, Penny and Myrna along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorne was predeceased by his parents Herb and Doris, sister Diane and brothers Harold, Paul, Keith and Dale.  Great niece Lexi and great nephew Paden.

He will be forever remembered for his love of horses and his enjoyment of farming.
