Lawrence William Bartok (Larry) of Esterhazy passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2020 at the age of 68 years. Larry was born in Esterhazy to William and Yarmila Bartok and lived on the family farm just south of town his entire life. In his early adult life, Larry travelled to work in various provinces always returning home to help on the family farm when he could. In 1975, he married Dianne (Knezacek) and began working for the Iron Workers Union, Local 771. When his dad’s health failed, Larry took over the family farm and continued to work for the Iron Workers on a seasonal basis when the farm would allow, until his retirement in 2016. Larry was a very social person and was known for his willingness to help his many friends and neighbours. He enjoyed the outdoors, being at the lake, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry was predeceased by his mother Yarmila, his father William and his brother Gordon. Larry is survived by his wife Dianne, his daughters Brandi and Kelli (Clint), his son Dustin (Amanda), and eleven grandchildren: Sydney, Gabriel and Lily Nicholauson, Madilyn, Connor, Delaney, Dominic, and Kipton Hollingshead, Kaige, Shayde and Dayson Bartok.
