Julia Nagy Obituary

Julia (Grandma) was born at home on the farm to John and Maryann Babyak.  She was the youngest of five children.  Grandma grew up on the farm in the Kaposvar District.

On November 8, 1949, Grandma and Grandpa got married.  They were married nearly 60 years and blessed with seven children.  Grandma and Grandpa farmed and worked in Stockholm and area all their lives.  Grandma enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing cards with the grandchildren. Grandma provided many, many, many pots of chicken soup over the years.  You never left her house without a full belly!

Grandma spent the last two and a half years in the Esterhazy Care Home.  She passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022, with family by her side.  She went on to be with Grandpa and those that went before her.

She is survived by her children; Gloria (Leo) Craven of Stockholm, Annabelle Fraser (Larry) of Regina, Ken (Judy) Nagy of Yorkton, Maureen (and the late Dennis) Knezacek of Stockholm, Joan (Lionel) Johanson of Stockholm, Julia (John) Gilchuk of Esterhazy, and Anita (Robert) Clark of Tantallon.  Grandma is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way.  She also leaves behind, one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Grandpa in 2009, her parents and all her siblings, two sons-in-law, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

Grandma will be forever loved and missed by us all!

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
