John Wilson was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. on December 7,1929 and was adopted by Walter and Maryann Wilson of Balcarres, Saskatchewan , where he was raised in the Tullymet District.
John spent his life as a heavy equipment operator and very proud professional truck driver. He worked for Kleysen Transport (Esterhazy) from 1975 until he was forced to retire.
John was a founding member of the Qu’Appelle Valley Threshermen’s Club and was known far and wide for his love, knowledge and collection of antique equipment and books.
John is predeceased by his parents Walter and Maryann, his sister Grace (Herb) How, his father and mother-in-law, Ray and Cis Earl, brother-in-law Gerald Todd, son-in-law Gord Junck, granddaughters Tiffany Wilson and Kimberley.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan, sisters-in-law Pat, Janet and Betty Lou (Hab); children Brenda, Kent (Kathy), Shaun and Michael (Alana); grandchildren Dereck, Kruz, Jennifer, Tyler, Kevin and Jaimie (Nadine); and great grandchildren Nicholas, Stellan. Flynn, Bryton and Aizlyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews
A Graveside service will be held at the Balcarres Cemetery at a later date.
