It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our dearly loved dad, grandfather and uncle on October 5, 2021 at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn his sons: Chris (Shawla), Ashley, and Courtney; his grandchildren: Breyton, Hayden and Julius; his brother: Ronald Polson; his sisters: Donna Leschinski and Carolyn Crittenden; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: John and Ellen Polson; his brothers: Reginald Pearson, Dennis Polson, and Terrance Polson; his brothers-in-law: Nicholas Shymko, Jeremie Fisher, Mark Leschinski; and sister-in-law: Marlene Polson.
Curtis was born in Broadview, SK on April 19, 1952 and was raised on the family farm. He moved into town with his parents after the farm was sold. Then after having several small jobs, he moved to Stockholm in 1973 to begin married life and to work at the Esterhazy potash mine where he remained for 40 years until his retirement in March of 2014.
Curtis was very interested in sports and loved watching his boys play hockey and baseball; as well as catching as many Oilers, Blue Jays or Roughriders game on television that he could.
Curtis was very active throughout his life, always helping others when he could or spending his time enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling or hopping on his bike for yet another road trip with his good friend Robert. He would always have two big gardens to tend to; one for vegetables and one for potatoes. In the last few years he added a Saskatoon orchard and more recently raspberry canes.
He kept in touch with his family and siblings and loved to gather with them and friends where many good times were shared by those who knew and loved him; especially with his close friend Howard.
His passing will leave an empty space in the hearts of many that he loved and that loved him but our memories of him will fill those spaces.
