Jean Paul Chretien

Jean Chrétien, born October 1, 1938, in Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 86 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. A devoted husband, father, and cherished community member, Jean lived a life of sacrifice, hard work, and boundless love for his family.

Jean was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne Ashmore, with whom he built a life of cherished memories. He is survived by his seven children: Gladys, Betty, Carol, Diane, Real, Pierrette, and Robert, who will carry forward his legacy of resilience and generosity. Jean was their rock, always offering wisdom and support.

A versatile man, Jean worked as a long-haul truck driver, sacrificing time away to provide for his family. His entrepreneurial spirit evident through in owning a hardware store, upholstery shop, and autobody shop, each reflecting his skill and community commitment. Known for his joyful spirit, Jean loved riding his scooter, happily visiting friends and neighbors, spreading warmth and stories wherever he went.
