Helen Theresa Mozeski

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Mozeski. A proud and nurturing mother and a cherished grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Helen passed away at the Esterhazy Centennial Care home on Thursday, April 23. She had just celebrated her 91st birthday.  Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life lived with unwavering strength and fierce love that touched all who knew her. 

She was born on April 6, 1935, on the family farm near Langenburg. On May 9, 1960, she married Laurence Mozeski and they made Esterhazy their home. They lived in the same home for 55 years and raised their three boys here. Her pride and joy were her garden and flowers. She couldn’t wait until spring when she could get out into the dirt.  She also started a pastime of mending clothes. She mended many clothes for many people over the years.  After Laurence’s passing in 2009 she remained in their home until 2015 when she then moved to Sumner Place. She especially enjoyed her time visiting and playing games with the residents, puzzles, church service and any entertainment that came to Sumner Place.  In June of 2025, she made the move to the Care Home.

Helen is survived by her sons Dale (Elly), Blake (Shelley) and Brian (Janice). Her grandchildren Jarrad (Bri), Hilary (Ben), Dana, Chelsea (Kyle), Jenna (Matt), Colen (Rylee), Jayden and great-grandchildren Hazel and Wyn. Brother Don, sister Verna, along with many nieces and nephews.  Pre-deceased by brothers Bob and Victor.

Moms’ strong belief in her faith was never ending and brought her great peace and comfort. Helens family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with those she loved. Her laugh is a gift that will forever echo in our memories.
