It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hazel Heebner on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. Hazel was born on March 1st, 1933 to Wellington and Beatrice Glenn in Golburn, SK. Hazel was married to Otto Heebner on December 19, 1952, in Tisdale, SK. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Otto Heebner; Parents and all siblings; Son Brian in infancy and daughters Debbie and Karry.
Left to cherish Hazel’s memory are her brother in- law Herman Heebner; Sons Dennis (Cathy), Mark; Grandchildren Kurt, Richelle, Brett, Lee, Jacqueline, Kayla; 12 Great- Grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Hazel grew up on a farm and loved to be outdoors, enjoyed working with animals and loved horses. Hazel greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, etc., and crocheting. In later years she enjoyed cards, bingo and especially horse racing, but mostly visits from family and friends.
A heartfelt thank you to The Revera Renaissance staff, ICU, MSU and PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT at the Pasqua Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at the Peter Carscadden Funeral Chapel on May 13th, 2023 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at the Esterhazy Town Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command, Heart and Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and the Cancer Society.
