Gary Norman Ducharme

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary Norman Ducharme, formerly of The Pas, Manitoba. Gary passed away at his home in Esterhazy SK August 30th at the age of 76. Gary was born and raised in The Pas, Manitoba and was an avid hockey player, baseball player and golfer throughout his life and he passed his enthusiasm for sports to his children and grandchildren. If Gary wasn't coaching, he was always in the stands cheering them on.

In his professional life, Gary worked for many years at Northland Ford where he achieved several Summit Awards. In his personal life, Gary loved cooking and entertaining, there was always a full table for family and friends but most of all he was proud of and loved his family.

Gary was predeceased by his father Edward his mother Helen, brothers Melvin, Willie, surviving sister in law, Ann Ducharme, Emil, his sisters Yvonne (Ron) Illsley, Evelyn (Bill) Grieve, Norma Good and Elaine Ducharme. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughters Holly Bertholet (Brad) Heather LaJambe (Derek) and son Gary Ducharme (Val), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gary is also survived by sister Darlene (Ed) Antonio brothers James and Gordon as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held November 9th, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Esterhazy SK at the Legion Clubroom on 473 Main St. Esterhazy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gary’s name to muscular dystrophy of Canada.
