Elsie was born July 15, 1926 in the Gerald District to Tony and Emma Martinosky. She lived in the Gerald area, along her brothers, until they moved to the Rocanville District in the late 1940s. Elsie always worked around home and often went to babysit at her brothers when their children were born. Elsie married Frank Botterill and moved to Yarbo in the late 1960s where they both worked for Smitty's Janitorial at IMC. Unfortunately, Frank passed away and Elsie, a few years later, married Ralph Beverly Sutton and moved to Sceptre, Saskatchewan. Elsie lived there for many years and became a farmer's wife. She loved her life there and her new nephews and nieces. As they got older and needed more help, they moved to Esterhazy into Maple Street Manor. She had many new friends there (residents and staff) and enjoyed her life there. We thank them for all the great care they gave her.
Elsie was predeceased by her husbands, Frank and Beverly, and by her parents, Tony and Emma, and by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Marlene, Libbert and Marilyn.
Elsie leaves to cherish her memories, her son Wilf (Bernice); her grandsons, Craig (Kristin) and Kirk (Valerie); and her great-grand girls, Rory and Kacey. All her nephews and nieces were very important to her and they will greatly miss her as well.
We will miss her, but we know Elsie is in heaven. She was a very faithful person and knew who her Savior was.
Elsie loved flowers, birds, her garden and loved to crochet blankets. Many people were lucky enough to be given one. Even in the Manor she continued to crochet squares to be made into blankets for people in need.
Elsie was a very loving person. Always helping anyone who needed it. “No” wasn't in her vocabulary. She was a very humble person and wanted nothing for herself. But, yet, would give anyone anything she could. When we think of the word “love”, we will be thinking of Elsie because she was the embodiment of love.
