Lynn passed away in her sleep Saturday, July 29, 2017.  Lynn was the youngest of three children and grew up on the farm near Leslie, Saskatchewan.

Lynn was a retired Special Education Teacher who spent almost all of her career in the North.  She had a special way with children, gaining their trust and helping them learn.  Upon     retirement, she took up quilting and chose Moose Jaw as her new home.  She loved it there and joined the Charity Quilters at Quilter’s Haven.  She was an animal lover, especially cats.  She belonged to the S.P.C.A, Scraps (an organization for cats), Charity Quilters and Grandmothers for Grandmothers.

Lynn loved to travel and with her sister traveled from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts.  With their niece Cheryl, they traveled to Iceland to explore the country where three of their grandparents were born.  Lynn loved children, traveling, cooking and reading.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sigfus and Lenora Thorlacius; and her brother John.  She is survived by her sister Rose Nelson; Rose’s sons Myles (Leah) Nelson and their       children Delaney and Owen; Michael (Tracey) Nelson; nephew Dan (Sue) Thorlacius, daughter Breanne and granddaughter Layna; niece Cheryl (Claude) Allen and their children Curtis (Kim), Conner, Caitlyn; as well as several cousins and friends.
