Edward Raymond Kaczur of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan passed away March 6, 2020 at Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 80 years.
Edward was born on June 4, 1939 on a farm in Atwater, Saskatchewan. As a boy he attended Pilchak school. On August 24, 1959 he married the love of his life, Elaine Knezacek of Esterhazy. They moved to Regina where Wanda, Delvin and Darren were born. Ed worked for Henderson Glass in Regina and was transferred to Yorkton in 1966. While living and working in Yorkton, Ed and Elaine welcomed their two daughters Danette and Danita. In 1973, the family moved to Esterhazy where Ed owned and operated his own glass business. Later he switched his self-employed business and ran a septic tank service for the surrounding area.
Ed enjoyed riding horses and driving his team of horses in parades, and participating in many wagon treks. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends. He loved the company of his grandchildren and was proud of each and every one of them.
Ed and Elaine just celebrated 60 years of marriage this past August.
Ed was predeceased by his parents Mike and Anna; daughter Wanda; his son Darren; brother Robert and sisters Anne, Elsie, Helen and Irene as well as half brother and sisters John, Isabelle and Margaret.
Surviving are his wife Elaine, son Delvin Kaczur (wife Margot) and their children Matthew and Madison; Darren’s children Ashton (husband Blake) and Reid; daughter Danette Strand (husband Allan) and their daughter Alyssa; daughter Danita Olafson (husband Darren) and their children Shayla and Ryker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Edward’s grandchildren.
