Dorothy died peacefully at the Esterhazy Centennial Care Home on Thursday, January 18, 2018.  Born 80 years ago on June 10, 1937 to James and Antoinete Styrvoky, she was the youngest of 10 children.

Dorothy grew up on the family farm at Grove Park, where she also attended school.  Dorothy left home and went to live in Brandon with family where she gained employment.

After a few years Dorothy returned home, met and  married the love of her life Yalmer Knourek.  They were blessed with two children, Rick and Pam.  Dorothy was a stay at home mother and enjoyed looking after her family and home.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband and two children.  She was also predeceased by sisters Agnes Havelick, Clara Smith, brothers; Joseph, Arthur, Harry and Stanley.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters Lillian Arvay, Margaret Howell, brother Ernest Styrvoky as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
