Doris was born in Esterhazy to William and Caroline Knezacek (nee Duchek) and was raised on a small farm 2 ½ miles northwest of town. After graduating from high school, she worked in a bank in Esterhazy and then ventured to Regina to take a keyboard course. There she met Bob.
They married on June 24, 1967. They moved from Regina to Yorkton and finally back to Esterhazy with their family. Eventually they purchased a quarter of land north of town. They both loved the quiet country life. Over the years Doris would spend a good part of her life working in the Payroll Department at IMC/Mosaic, helping Bob run the Twin Spruce Garage, and assisting with the farm work.
Doris was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and in 2019 moved into the Care Home.
