Devona 'Dee' Shivak

Devona (Dee) Shivak of Stockholm, Saskatchewan passed away June 11, 2023 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan at the age of 85 years. 

Dee was born on October 27, 1937. Her parents were James and Helen Schwitzer. She had one older brother, Danny, two younger sisters, Muriel and Loretta, and a brother Wilford who died in infancy. She attended Excel School for grades one to eight, grade nine by correspondence, and ten and eleven at the Stockholm Separate School. Dee worked at Jim Plosz’s local grocery store for one year before she married Stan (Sunni) Shivak on July 19, 1955. Together they tended to the family farm, one mile north of Stockholm. They raised nine beautiful children, three boys and six girls.

Dee was predeceased by husband Sunni in 2003, grandchildren Derek Johanson, Travis Duchek and Baby Windrim, parents James and Helen Schwitzer, and siblings Wilford and Loretta.
