Christine Wowchuk

 Christine Louise Wowchuk of Churchbridge SK passed away January 27th at the age of 67.

Chris made many lasting friendships while owning and operating WOJO’s gas station, which made her a familiar and beloved figure in the community. She loved traveling with her husband Jim and their dog Hazel, making wonderful memories together, especially at their second home in Arizona. She had a passion for art and enjoyed holding paint pouring classes to share her creativity with others. She also loved cooking and baking, especially all of her Pinterest creations. Being outside in the garden was another favorite pastime, where she found joy in tending to plants and enjoying nature. She cherished the peaceful moments spent fishing with her dad, enjoying their time together by the water. No matter what she was doing, she always looked forward to her 3 o’clock coffee and never missed a chance to enjoy ‘happy hour’ with her friends. Chris always brought warmth, kindness, and joy to the people around her.

She was predeceased by her dad Stewart Haslen, her mom Kaye Haslen, and her brother Stewart Haslen.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Jim, her son BJ (Sarah) Wowchuk, her daughter Jamie (Brad) Schmidt, 4 grandchildren Carson, Rylan, Katie-Ann, and Brody, her brothers Dave (Bonnie) Haslen, and Cam Haslen as well as her sisters Bev (Lorne) Fruin, Anita Haslen (partner Andy Hoffer), and Cathy Haslen. Her memory is cherished by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and a large circle of friends.
