Bertha Pauline Fiala

Bertha Pauline, born December 9th, 1921 in the Esterhazy area to Frank and Emily Knourek.  She was the youngest of five children.

She attended Brookvale School until grade nine, she then went to work for several local families. At the age of nineteen she married Joe Fiala and began the task of making a home and raising a family of four boys and one girl. This stemmed out to twelve grandchildren, Brad, Corrina, Jeff, Darcy, Jamie, Michael, Ronnie, Jackie, Jesse, Jason, Bryan, Blake and 12 great-grandchildren Rachel, Bethany, Bretin, Price, Emily, Geddy, Dylan, Regean, Aiden, Grace, Ewan and Shayne and two great-great-granddaughters, Deandra and Amillea.

She was predeceased by her sister Emily (Carl) brothers, Bill (Anne), Louis (Mary) and Frank, her husband Joe; son in-law Clarence Elliot and her son Jack.  Her son Willard passed away on November 28, 2022.

Bertha is survived by her three children, Richard, Bev, Kenneth (Sandra), and all her grand kids.
