Anne Dorey
May 13, 1933 ~ July 4, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years OldShare using:
Anne was born on a family farm near Hazelcliffe, Saskatchewan, the second youngest child of John and Edith Vizner. She had three brothers - Karl, Milfred, and Louis, and two sisters - Mildred and Agnes. Anne is survived only by her sister Agnes with whom she spent a lot of time in her later years.
Anne attended Kingslyn School. She met Tony Dorey at a wedding in Gerald and they were married a short time later, on July 28, 1953. Tony and Anne lived on the Dorey family farm near K2 mine until 1967 when they sold their farm to I.M.C. and moved to Esterhazy. They had three children: Ronald (Chris) of Regina; Linda (Kevin Orosz) of Esterhazy; and Mark (Tammy) of Regina. Anne had ten grandchildren: Michelle (Jack), Ryan (Kc), Eric, Karlee, Sheldon all of Regina; Tracy (Jon) of Edenwold, Sharla of Davidson; Kent (Tanya) of Saskatoon; Alicia of Bjorkdale; and Kyle of Esterhazy. Anne also had seven great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Mya of Davidson; Miraya of Bjorkdale; Aiden, Kelly, and Jack Jr. of Regina, and Eligh from Edenwold.
Anne worked hard as a farm wife and was very devoted to her family. She was a wonderful baker (ask anyone who ate her raisin pie!), passionate gardener (weeds had no place in her garden!), and she enjoyed going to church and socializing at various events in and around Esterhazy.
