Allison Rita Atkins

Allison Rita Atkins, age 59, of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan passed away November 27, 2024, unexpectedly.

Born June 26, 1965 in Neepawa, Manitoba, Allison was blessed to have many roles throughout her young life, as a daughter, little sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, friend and most important a soulmate to the love of her life, Glenn.

One of the most important things in Allison’s life was gardening, and she took great pride in her flowers.  It takes patience and perseverance and a love for living things to grow a garden or a beautiful flower.  There was a beauty and a satisfaction in seeing the result of her labor grow and come to fruition.  There is peacefulness.  We believe that for Allison, working in the garden was a way to be the careful nurturing person we always knew she was.

It's hard to say goodbye.  We wish that we had more time, and perhaps that during the time we had, we had spent more of it together.  That things could have been different for her, and for us.  While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness.  Even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain.  Keep those memories alive by sharing them with one another.

Goodbyes are not forever; goodbyes are not the end.  They simply mean I’ll miss you.  Until we meet again.
