Albert James Moore of Tantallon passed away February 20, 2018 at the Esterhazy Centennial Special Care Home at the age of 86 years.
Albert James Moore passed away surrounded by family on February 20, 2018. He was born on April 30, 1931 on the old Fox Farm in the Tantallon District to Robert and Agnes (Stadnyk) Moore. Albert was the third of four children; Alice, Victor, David
By age 6, Albert was tinkering and rebuilding anything he could get his hands on and always coming home with change in his pocket. Albert attended Tantallon and Dongola School until he started farming full time at age 14 on the family farm. Albert was the most kind, gentle and humble hard-working man dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and farm. Albert was not one to speak volumes, but when he did you certainly listened. On any given Saturday you could find Albert sitting at the kitchen table with GX94 on the radio, a deck of cards and coffee in hand with a table full of family and friends.
In 1951, Albert asked a valley girl, Mildred Minarik out at a St. Luke’s dance. On May 5, 1953 they were married at Kaposvar church and soon were blessed with 11 children. Married almost 65 years, Albert and Mildred were blessed with 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Albert was predeceased by his parents Robert and Agnes Moore, Alice Maga (sister), Peter Maga (brother-in-law), Adeline Minarik (sister-in-law), Frank Minarik (brother-in-law), Judy Moore (daughter-in-law).
Albert leaves to mourn his wife Mildred (Minarik), 11 children; Garth (Bernie) Moore, Grant (Tracey) Moore, Garnet (Laurie) Moore, Karen (Wayne) Babyak, Garry (Cindy) Moore, Greg (Patricia) Moore, Bonnie Moore (Alex Kostiuk), Denise Moore, Shelly Moore, Glen (Dianne) Moore, Gilbert Moore.
