Albert Kovacs

Albert Kovacs was born in the Cana district on May 21, 1926 and passed away peacefully in Esterhazy on March 21, 2022.

Albert grew up on the family farm near Cana, SK.  After school he worked on the family farm and was drafted to the Canadian Armed Forces.  He returned to the family farm and later fulfilled various roles in the working industry.  Albert and Hazel raised a loving family of four, Daniel, Wayne, Dale and Shirley.

He had a love for gardening, dancing, playing cards, raising Yorkshire pigs and watching sports.  His unique sense of humor remains a fond memory for friends and family.

Albert is predeceased by his wife Hazel; son Dale; brothers Ernest, Alec, Leslie; sisters Rose and Helen.  He will be forever missed by sons Daniel, Wayne, and daughter Shirley (Kelly); grandchildren Christy, Kim, Shayna, Shelby, Skye, Chantelle, and Bryce (Jennifer); great grandchildren Claire and Brynn; and sister Hilda Travis.
