Myrtle Scheier Obituary

Myrtle Scheier of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan passed away on January 8, 2020 at Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 85 years.

Myrtle Evelyn (Sellers) Scheier was born on May 17, 1934 in Ceylon, Saskatchewan to John and Evelyn Sellers.  She later resided in Ogema with her husband Nick Scheier, and their four children, Arlene, Kevin, Brian and Karen.  In 1979, the family relocated to Esterhazy.

Myrtle, or as she was known to the community, “Grandma”, enjoyed her daily coffee with friends.  She also enjoyed special time with her       children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.  She spent many hours in her garden with her flowers, baking, volunteering, and visiting with friends and family.

She was predeceased by her husband Nick Scheier; sister Irene Sorensen; brother-in-law Roy Sorensen; sister-in-law Patsy Sellers; brother-in-law Willard Willis; son Kevin Scheier; and son-in-law Garry Klughart.

She is survived by her son Brian (Cassandra) Scheier; two daughters   Arlene Klughart, and Karen (Rob) Dyck; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers; Allen (Betty) Sellers and Roy Sellers; one sister Rosanna Willis.
