Louis Frank Szalai

Louis Szalai was born in Stockholm on March 11, 1932 to Helen and Louis Szalai, Sr. and passed away in Esterhazy on October 5, 2019.

Louis had one brother, Joe with whom he farmed. In the spring of 1944, they moved north of Stockholm where they operated a cattle and grain farm until 2002. His retirement years were spent in his comfortable home in the village of Stockholm.

Besides farming, Louis had an avid interest in antique machinery and was a member of the Esterhazy Thresherman's Association. He took great pride in tinkering with all the equipment and making it run.  Louis appreciated and loved animals of all kinds, including pets and wildlife.

Louis will be remembered as a soft spoken, humble, kind and friendly man who was loved by all who knew him.

Louis was predeceased by his father, Louis, Sr. in September of 1943, his mother, Helen in February of 1977 and his brother, Joe in July of 2003.

He will be sadly missed by his many friends.
