Basil Sherloski

Basil passed away peacefully at the Centennial Special Care Home on November 24, 2019 at 85 years of age.  He was predeceased by his parents Mary (Dorey) and Ted Sherloski Senior, and his brother Ted.  He is survived by his sister-in-law, Josephine, and his niece Nadine (David) Frey.

     Basil was born on November 15, 1934 in the Langenburg area.  He attended Karlsruhe School for his elementary school years, and later completed his GED.  Basil farmed grain and livestock most of his life, and worked at the mine for a few years.

     Over the last few years, Basil resided at Daisy Hill Manor, the Morris Lodge in Bangor, and the Centennial Special Care Home in Esterhazy.  He enjoyed participating in the recreational activities that were provided, and socializing with others.

     Basil’s interests included animals and nature.  He loved to read farm news, area news, and nature magazines.  One of his favourite magazines was Birds and Blooms.  He loved to joke around and had a quick sense of humour.  He always had an interesting story or joke to share.

     Basil was thankful for the care and support he has received.  He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
