  On June 19, 2020, Martha Simle passed away at her home in the Langenburg Centennial Care Home at the age of 98 years old.  She had been a happy resident there for almost 12 years. Betty was born on March 23rd, 1933 to John Fedorski and Rose Swejda on a farm near Esterhazy, SK. Her only sister Marion was born 3 years later. They grew up in Esterhazy with their mother. Betty attended school, played with the neighbourhood children, and spent time helping her mother around the house. She later met and married Frank Hegedus in 1953.
