We believe the funeral service is important and vital to the grief healing process. We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of the families we serve, the community and our staff.
During this time we want to assure our families that we will remain open and available to meet families. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and by alternative means such as phone, text, email and video conferencing.
All services, currently scheduled will proceed in accordance with suggested provincial and federal government guidelines of gatherings up to 10 people, unless a family requests to re-schedule a service. We understand and anticipate attendance at services will diminish. To aid in social distancing, we are offering live stream services at locations based on their internet capabilities. As well, we will be recording and uploading services to our website with the permission of the family to make the services accessible for those who are unable to attend. We will be providing closed circuit television for seating in lower auditoriums of facilities or separate rooms if necessary to distance attendees, or if necessary, audio outdoors for attendees to listen to the service.
Society is fully aware of the need for extreme measures of caution in gathering. The spread of infection is high. We encourage everyone to follow the guidelines in regard to washing your hands frequently and avoid touching your face. We support these efforts and want to remind everyone to make use of our website to offer condolences and to communicate to the family.
In addition to our high standards of cleanliness and safety, we are taking extra precautions to sanitize and disinfect our facilities, areas of workspace and areas that experience high traffic and hands on use such as doorknobs, taps, washrooms, desks, computers etc.
We will continue to monitor and adhere to CDC guidelines, along with the up to date recommendations of our Federal and Provincial Health officials and do our best to share the information.
